Country support has three separate boundaries: where a seller can complete OurPay verification,
where a customer can use PayPal, and where OurPay can send seller payouts. Do not infer one from
another.
Sellers
Seller verification currently supports India only, for both individuals and companies.
Profiles require an Indian PAN, Indian address, and Indian bank details. Company profiles also
require registration and authorized-representative information.
OurPay rejects a seller-verification profile whose country is not IN. Adding a different country
to a checkout billing-address list does not make seller onboarding available there.
Customer payments
Customer payments use the deployment operator’s central PayPal Business account. Availability
depends on all of the following:
- The receiving Business account’s country, verification, and capabilities
- PayPal availability for the buyer and funding source
- The product currency and the Business account’s payment-receiving preferences
- PayPal risk, compliance, and product restrictions for the transaction
- The deployment operator’s own legal and tax coverage
OurPay validates the REST-payment currency before creating an order and rejects fractional amounts
for HUF, JPY, and TWD. PayPal can still reject a currency or country that passes local validation,
because provider availability is account-specific.
PayPal maintains the current currency-code reference
and country-specific offering information. Test the exact seller-account, buyer-country, currency,
and subscription combination in sandbox before advertising it.
A successful API call does not establish that the central collection arrangement is legally
permitted. Obtain PayPal’s written approval for the exact payment flow and validate the seller,
tax, sanctions, and consumer-law obligations for every market served.
Payouts
There is no supported bank-payout country list because seller payouts are disabled by default.
The Indian bank account collected during seller verification is a future destination, not a live
settlement rail. The feature-gated PayPal Payouts rail targets a configured PayPal recipient and is
subject to PayPal’s account-specific availability; it is not an Indian bank rail.
Do not promise a payout country, currency, timing, or fee until the exact deployment has been
approved and verified with PayPal.
Individuals
An Indian individual can submit the same seller-verification flow as an Indian company, with their
own legal name, PAN, date of birth, address, and bank details. That makes the profile reviewable in
OurPay; it does not open a PayPal merchant account for the individual and does not by itself approve
the person to receive payouts.
